Although OYP is organized and led by youth, it is also a provincially-incorporated
registered charity. At each parliament, Adult Resource Counsellors (ARCs),
attend throughout the weekend, ensuring that OYP runs in a safe, drug-free,
and alcohol-free environment. These counselors are from past youth participants
and generously donate their time to provide support, advice, and safety
supervision for the delegates.
