Every dollar donated to OYP goes directly toward keeping the program running and accessible — covering programming costs, materials, and the day-to-day work of putting on a four-day parliament each year.
Donations to OYP are made securely through Canada Helps, and every gift comes with an automatic tax receipt.
Remember that you can direct your United Way or Benevity givings ar work to OYP!
There are two ways to sponsor a delegate's experience at OYP:
Contribute directly to the OYP Bursary Fund, which covers the remaining registration balance for delegates who need financial support to attend. Your gift helps make sure the next generation of delegates gets the same opportunity you did
Many of our delegates are sponsored by local service clubs, churches, and schools. Organizations like Rotary, Kinsmen/Kinette, and Lions Clubs have a strong history of supporting youth in their community through OYP. If your organization is interested in sponsoring a delegate, [reach out to us] to learn more about how it works.
OYP runs entirely on volunteers - many of them alumni, some brand new to the organization. Whether you're interested in becoming an Adult Resource Counsellor, lending a hand at the event itself, or helping out behind the scenes throughout the year, we'd love to hear from you.

Every year, OYP needs a community willing to open its doors for the weekend - a space with a large hall for the House, a separate space for meals, a working kitchen, access to a sanctuary for vespers, and smaller meeting rooms for other programming.
Church communities have hosted OYP for decades, and it's largely an act of service and support: an opportunity to welcome youth from across the province into your space and see them put it to use. Volunteer support from your community is always appreciated, but it isn't required to host.
If your church or community has the space and is interested in hosting a future OYP, [reach out to us] to learn more. We'd love to hear from you.
